He Led a Hard Life….

So I’ve often asked the question, “What happened to (Ozzy Osbourne, Iggy Pop, Keith Richards…etc)? Why are they so beat up looking?” The answer I received every single time is, “He led a hard life.” WTF? For real? HOW SO?!?!?!?!

These guys lived every young person’s dream! Women, fame, fortune, never wanting for anything! They see something they want….they go get it. Mansions, fancy cars (most of us can’t afford the ONE car we have let alone 10, 20 cars) gold, diamonds, fancy furnishings, dining at the best restaurants, staying in prestigious hotels, traveling across the globe….THAT’S A HARD LIFE?

My definition of a hard life is thus…. waking up every morning before the sun rises to go work all day and come home after the sun goes down at a job that barely if at all pays the bills. Not knowing if he/she can afford the food to put in their children’s mouths or clothing on their backs. Worrying how to tell their kids why Santa didn’t show up this year. Picking and choosing which bills to pay because there is not enough money to pay them all. Wondering if their ONE car will make it to work before it breaks down. Or if he is gonna go to jail because he didn’t make enough to pay child support this month. And if that does happen, how he will support his family when he gets out of jail because this has caused him to lose his job. Wearing the same holey shoes everyday for years because the kids need em worse than he/she does. THAT’S WHAT I CALL A HARD LIFE!

We live in a fucked up society where we worry so much about helping other countries with their needy and we never clean up our own back yard. I hope Obama sees this somehow lol JUST SAYIN….

As a father looks into his daughter’s eyes, all she can see is her daddy’s love for her.
She may be small and she may be a baby, but she is daddy’s lil’ girl for sure.
He says he’ll teach her how to drive, and teach her what she needs to know.
She can only coo but when he leaves for work she will want to say “Don’t go”.
When daddy is stressed all he needs is to look into those blue eyes and see her smile.
He knows he has her love and his heart skips about a long country mile.
Staying up to feed her and change her diapers ain’t his game.
Without her though, he is lost and knows he wouldn’t be the same.
She will look at him and see her own hero, he will look at her and see his star.
When he is away, no matter where he is his heart and his love will never be far.
She wakes up in the morning with a smile and without ever a tear.
Her daddy says “Don’t worry Sweet-thing, I’ll always be here”
When she cries, she will be swept up into arms so tender and strong.
When mommy’s at work, daddy will say “Hush baby, mommy won’t be long”
He’ll be there for every bump and scratch, and hurt with her just the same.
He’ll say, “My sweet Alissa, how I love your name”
In her daddy’s eyes she is the reason for living, an she is his world.
And when she grows up and has a life of her own, she will always be daddy’s lil’ girl.

Well after seeing many friends delve into the whole “blogging” thing, I decided to give it a go.  To be honest, I’ve never really understood where people get their “material” or “ideas” to post in their blogs.  Never really understood why people blogged in the first place.  NOW I understand…..BOREDOM!

I’m kidding of course.

Where to begin? I guess I can divulge a lil about myself… My Mom and Dad were high School Sweethearts, One night…no that’s not right…She let him….No not that either…He put his…Nope…Hmmmm Well I was born in 1973!  I’m 37 yrs old now ( wow that hurt to say ) I’ve been married AND divorced twice. I have 2 beautiful daughters who I’m absolutely in love with! My oldest, Averie is certainly a character! Her heart is as big as she is spoiled! And my newest (September 20th) Alissa is a Mini-Me if ever there was one!  She is a PERFECT baby! Never fusses! In the coming Blogs you will see alot of my life thru my girls! Ali and Averie I love you more than life! You are my reason for being!

I’ve lived in many different States….Born in Michigan (Shout out to the Skee-town, Muskegon baby!) I lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan as well, there’s Hawaii, Missouri, Texas, Georgia, and Tennessee.  Each state has something beautiful to offer, but “there’s no place like home!” Ain’t that right Dorothy?

I’ve held many different jobs, from factory work, to sales, to post office, to law enforcement…WHY COULDN’T I HAVE BEEN BORN RICH?!?!?!

Well that pretty much tells who I am…keep lookin back for more to come!

Made the Move…

Soooo I moved my Blog from Blogger.com to WordPress.com. I’m not knocking Blogger.com but I like the layout and user interface of WordPress.com a lot better….
